Print Services
Printers. The studio utilizes a color managed workflow and custom iccprinter profiles on a state of the art Epson Surecolor P9000 wide format pigmented ink printer, producing outstanding quality archival fine art prints. All work is quality guaranteed.
Medium Format Digital Photographic Copywork. High resolution medium format photographic copy work is available using a Phase One XF or Cambo WRS 1600 camera with a Phase One IQ4 150 digital back, for exceptional quality digital files of artwork, sculptures, and paintings for archiving and reproduction. The Phase One IQ4 150 is a full-frame 150 megapixel medium format digital back with a CMOS sensor producing a 16-bit TIFF file approximately 400 to 500+ MBs uninterpolated. The IQ4 150 sensor is at least 2 1/2 times the size of a 35mm based DSLR sensor, which pales in comparison for high resolution copy work, post-processing of the digital raw, and printing large. In short, the quality of your final print is directly related to the quality of your starting base image file. The studio has utilized medium format digital backs for over ten years for exactly this reason.
High resolution digital Tiff files are provided to the artist and also remain archived in studio for additional safety. Files generated for print reproduction are maintained by the print studio in an individual artist’ print folder, allowing for easy re-ordering of prints by phone or email. Substantial savings are realized for copy work of multiple pieces of artwork. Call to make an appointment.
Film Scanning.
Shipping. Where possible, we ship prints flat with glassine liners up to about 16″ x 20″. Larger prints are gently rolled with glassine into larger diameter tubes/boxes. *Free shipping in the continental US for orders over $139, except for stretched canvas. Orders under $139 ship for $18 flat-rate. US Priority mail or Fed Ex preferred. Local clients are encouraged to drop by the studio.
